The Police Directorate (PD) announced that there were no minors among the people who were brought in and from whom information was collected.
"For the sake of objective, accurate and precise information, the Police Directorate informs the public that during today's actions by officers of the Podgorica Security Department, there were no minors among the persons brought in, as well as among the persons from whom information was collected, contrary to allegations that appeared in some media," the statement reads.
The Police Directorate announced that officers from the Podgorica Security Department collected information from all persons who were brought to that police station, and who today in Botun, at the site where the construction of a wastewater treatment plant is planned, prevented officers from the Municipal Police from carrying out their official duties and refused to act on the orders of officers from the Police Directorate.
"All persons were released without detention. Also, MP Milan Knežević voluntarily left the police vehicle for group transport of persons, which he had previously entered on his own initiative in the same manner," the police announced.
Officials of the Democratic People's Party visited the Podgorica Security Department to inquire about the status of those detained.
"In my opinion, regardless of the prosecutor's position, this is a misdemeanor, we will most likely proceed with regular misdemeanor charges," police officer Ratko Rondović told them, as can be seen in a video posted on the Facebook page of DNP leader Milan Knežević.
The police station was visited by, among others, Deputy Prime Minister Milun Zogović and his advisor Predrag Bulatović, Minister of Transport Maja Vukićević, as well as MPs Vladislav Bojović and Jelena Kljajević.
"Vijesti" was unofficially told by the Police Directorate that Milan Knežević left the police "marica" in the same way he entered the vehicle.
The newspaper was previously unofficially told by the police that Knežević entered the police car on his own initiative, because they had no intention of detaining him.
The Police Department officially announced that they had detained 54 people from the protest in Botun, and that they would be released after collecting information.
Wastewater says that the wastewater treatment plant is not a risk, but a cure, a proven and reliable mechanism for solving wastewater issues in Europe and the world.
Zeta resident and president of the local board of New Serbian Democracy, Miroslav Brajović, said he believes that the party's president, Andrija Mandić, "will not remain silent about all this that is being done to the people of Zeta."
Knežević said he would not get out of the "marica" until he was taken to the police station.
"You are deliberately keeping us here and torturing us, I don't think it's fair after everything we've been through. We just insist on joining our neighbors."
The police concluded that Knežević entered the "marica" voluntarily.
"I didn't enter voluntarily. I entered together with Mrs. Ćetković, so I took her out of that meadow so they wouldn't carry her," he said.
The Mayor of Podgorica, Saša Mujović, announced that the implementation of the project to build the Wastewater Treatment Plant in Botun has begun.
President Jakov Milatović said that all representatives of the current government who "promised the same thing to the residents of Botun and Zeta while they were coming there as opposition members to seek votes" are now doing everything contrary to the promises they made then.
Parliament Speaker Andrija Mandić called for an urgent session of the Defense and Security Council.
The president of the Zeta SNP committee, Branko Noković, condemned the police intervention in Botun this morning and, as he said, the unacceptable treatment of citizens who are peacefully and dignifiedly defending the decision made in the referendum.
The president of the Democrats - Zeta councilors' club, Novica Pejović, announced that he is resigning from all positions in Democratic Montenegro and from his position as a councilor in the Zeta Municipal Assembly.
Deputy Prime Minister for Security, Defense, Fight against Crime and Internal Policy Aleksa Bečić, after this morning's roll call by locals, said that he had no connection with the operational actions of the police.
The Police Directorate announced that they used the mildest means of coercion, with the maximum degree of sensitivity in their treatment of citizens.
In response to the local municipal inspection's objections and claims that the "spider" was illegally removing vehicles, the police asked that their work not be interfered with.
"We are the police, we are not here to determine where whose boundary is. This is the relocation of vehicles."
The goal is for construction to begin before the deadline for the start of work expires, so as not to pay "penalties".
Almost all the police have dispersed, and private security has arrived to secure the construction site, most likely hired by the investor.
The excavator has arrived at the location where the collector is to be built. Other machines are also arriving.
Four cars from the company Security Guard Montenegro arrived, most likely to secure the future construction site.
The director of Podgorica's "Vodovod" Aleksandar Nišavić appeared in Botun, briefly spoke with the police, Knežević told him from the police car that he (Nišavić) started the incident and told the police that he should be arrested.
A "spider" arrived on the scene to remove the vehicles that remained on the lot.
"Pauk" has no license plates, and its company name is covered with white paper.
According to unofficial information from "Vijesti", the vehicle arrived from Budva.
The remaining police officers also leave the scene.
A small number of police officers remained in Botun.
The police unofficially told "Vijesti" that Knežević entered the police car arbitrarily, not voluntarily, because they did not even try to arrest him.
The police are leaving the location where the people of Botunja were gathered.
The police secured the entire area where the Botunja residents had been staying for days, and now, apart from their vehicles, police officers, and a few journalist and medical teams, there is no one left.
Some of the Botunjan residents were escorted out by the police without resistance. Knežević and several women remained on the plot where the construction was planned.
After one of the commanders told Knežević that he would not take any action against him and the women, saying: "We're done." Knežević replied: "You're not done, we're going with our Botunja people," after which he voluntarily went into the police van.
"As soon as this agony of institutions is over, I will propose to the Presidency of the Democratic People's Party (DNP) that we leave this bloody government," said party leader Milan Knežević.
Meanwhile, citizens of Zeta blocked the roundabout towards the airport.
