Citizens of Zeta unblocked the roundabout towards the airport, the railway towards Bar was also unblocked

Citizens of Zeta unblocked the roundabout towards Podgorica Airport.

The citizens did this after talking with the leader of the Democratic People's Party (DNP), Milan Knežević, at the barricade at the roundabout, and the agreement is that the road will be blocked again tomorrow from ten o'clock.

Knežević appealed to the citizens of Zeta to retreat tonight, given the large number of elderly people, women and children, but also the fact that a strong north wind has started and the temperature is approaching zero.

Citizens of Zeta are demanding that machinery be removed from the site where the construction of a wastewater treatment plant in Botun is planned.

The Bar-Podgorica railway line was unblocked earlier today, after traffic was previously blocked in the town of Bistrice.

According to information from "Vijesti", there was a delay in train traffic, and the police allegedly arrived at the scene.

The railway is open for traffic for now.

The people of Zeća have allegedly unblocked several other, alternative roads towards Podgorica, via the neighboring municipality of Tuzi.

While those roads were blocked, it was not possible to get through Mataguže.

The Podgorica railway station unofficially informed us shortly before that they had no information on when rail traffic would be normalized.

Citizens of Zeta who earlier today blocked the roundabout towards the airport said at the time that they were determined not to unblock the roundabout until those arrested in Botun are released and the machines are removed from the lot.

"Let them arrest us, they will arrest 300, another 300 will come," they say.

They emphasized that they would only be ready for negotiations after their demands were met.

The president of the Zeta branch of the New Serbian Democracy (NSD) Miroslav Brajović announced that all traffic in Zeta will soon be blocked.

"Such torture in the 21st century is unprecedented in Montenegro. This injustice has brought us together here," said Brajović.

He said that instead of a government session, which would have discussed with representatives of Zeta, the executive branch is silent.

Brajović again asked the Police Directorate to release the arrested. "Let the mothers return to their children," he said.

The road through Zeta towards Tuzi is also blocked.

There are huge traffic jams from all directions.

Citizens blocked the roundabout towards the airport after the police operation began in Botun.

Police are redirecting citizens to take a side road to reach the airport.

The Zeta Municipal Police arrived from the direction of Golubovaci, and some of the citizens did not want them to pass. After several minutes of heated discussion, they allowed them to pass.

Some citizens are resentful of the municipal police because they "didn't protect Botun."

This morning, the police formed a cordon around the site where the construction of a wastewater treatment plant is planned, where citizens of Zeta have been protesting under tents for weeks, opposing the construction of the capital project.
