The New Serbian Democracy (NSD) parliamentary group has demanded the immediate release of detained women, children, and all those arrested for non-violent resistance to the construction of a wastewater treatment plant in Botun from the Security Center.
The Police Directorate announced that 54 people were detained due to the events in Botun.
The NSD parliamentary group has requested that these people be released as soon as possible.
"Today, this country needs peace and stability the most, because that is the only prerequisite for building a more certain future. All problems, of which this one has emerged as the biggest, must be urgently resolved by agreement as a community," the NSD parliamentary group said in a statement.
