The Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica is monitoring all developments in Botun and will react in a timely manner if it assesses that there are criminal acts, the prosecutor's office told "Vijesti".
Asked whether they had opened a case due to possible abuse of official position by officials in the Municipality of Zeta, who are using municipal company machinery to block traffic around the roundabout and on roads around the airport, the prosecutor's office said that they were monitoring that part as well.
"The Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica is monitoring all developments related to Botun, and we will react specifically if we assess that a criminal offense has been committed," the ODT told "Vijesti".
Citizens of Zeta today again blocked the roundabout towards Podgorica Airport, and the president of the Democratic People's Party, Milan Knežević, and the president of the Zeta Municipality, Mihailo Asanović, announced blockades in other places in Zeta.
They gathered to protest yesterday's police intervention in Botun, during which 54 people were detained and released from the police station in Podgorica after taking statements.
Work on the construction of a wastewater treatment plant began yesterday in Botun, which is opposed by the population of Zeta, who voted against the construction of the plant in a referendum on December 14th.
