The jury for the "3rd January" Award explained the decision to award the highest recognition of the Municipality of Bijelo Polje this year to Tarzan Milošević, for his achievements, achieved results and contribution to the comprehensive development and affirmation of the Municipality of Bijelo Polje, and to Radmila Radović, a chemistry teacher at the "Dušan Korać" Elementary School.
The jury's explanation states that Milošević began his professional career in the economy and local administration, where he was recognized for his responsible and dedicated work. "During his career, he held numerous responsible positions that required a high level of expertise, ethics and dedication to the public interest."
"Managing the Municipality from the position of president, in a time of numerous challenges before and after the restoration of Montenegrin independence, during the period of severe global economic and financial crisis, he took on responsibility by making bold decisions for the Municipality to enter into the implementation of numerous important infrastructure projects that were financially very demanding and exceeded the possibilities of the Municipality's budget at the time," the explanation reads.
They further state that, while serving as the Ambassador of Montenegro to Serbia, Milošević represented our country professionally and with dignity, using every opportunity to promote our municipality.
The jury, explaining the award to Professor Radović, pointed out that over three decades of work, she has built a reputation as one of the most prominent chemistry teachers, recognized for her high level of expertise, systematicity, constant improvement, and exceptional ability to convey knowledge in a clear, understandable, and inspiring manner.
"As a teacher-mentor, in addition to regular teaching, she provides dedicated support to younger colleagues, introduces them to teaching practice, shares experiences and contributes to raising the quality of the teaching process throughout the institution. The most significant segment of her professional work is working with talented students. Radović has been awarded three times by the Ministry of Education as the best chemistry professor based on her results in the state competition, which clearly confirms her quality, dedication and long-term contribution to the improvement of chemistry teaching," the Jury's explanation stated.
