The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP) today announced a new public call for the employment of 514 new police officers, which, as announced by the department, will last until January 20th.

The Ministry of Interior said that the previous public call for the employment of police officers was successfully completed and that around 360 candidates will be employed at the Police Directorate.

This, as stated by the Ministry of the Interior, represents an important step forward in strengthening personnel capacities and restoring trust in the security sector.

"This public call is for everyone who wants to be part of essential changes, who is ready to take responsibility and to serve the citizens and the state professionally and honorably," the Ministry of Interior said.

According to them, the department continues to address not only the issue of personnel deficit, but also the quality and integrity of the police force.

"Through a completely transparent, legal and rigorous selection procedure, only candidates with unquestionable personal and professional integrity, ready to protect the constitutional order, law and security of all citizens of Montenegro without compromise, can enter the police service," the statement states.

As explained by the Ministry of the Interior, candidates up to 30 years of age can apply for the public call,

as well as those up to 40 years of age who previously worked in the police, completed an internship, the Professional Training Program for Persons with Higher Education, or were volunteers in the Police Directorate.

When it comes to the level of education, all candidates who have at least level V, VI or VII of educational qualification can apply to the public call, regardless of the field or faculty they graduated from.

"The selection process will be comprehensive and strictly controlled, and will include testing of psychophysical abilities, detailed security checks, integrity assessment through written tests and interviews, as well as testing of knowledge and skills through theoretical and practical tests adapted to police work," the Ministry of Interior said.

As they stated, detailed information about the conditions and method of application is available on the website www.gov.me/mup, via the e-mail address javnipoziv.policija@mup.gov.me, as well as by phone at 067/284-471, every working day from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
