Through a completely transparent, legal and rigorous selection process, only candidates with unquestionable personal and professional integrity, ready to protect the constitutional order, law and security of all citizens of Montenegro without compromise, can enter the police service, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP) announced.
The government department reminded that in order to continue reforms and further strengthen the police service, they announced a new public call for the employment of 514 new police officers on December 31, 2025, which will last until January 20, 2026.
"The public call is intended for all those who want to be part of essential changes, who are ready to take responsibility and serve citizens and the state professionally and honorably, and in return they can expect a secure and stable job, a dynamic working environment with the possibility of advancement and specialization through national and international training," the Ministry of Interior said in a statement.
As it is added, candidates up to 30 years of age can apply to the public call, as well as candidates up to 40 years of age who have previously worked in the police, completed an internship, the Professional Training Program for Persons with Higher Education, or were volunteers in the Police Directorate.
When it comes to the level of education, all candidates who have at least level V, VI or VII of educational qualification can apply to the public call, regardless of the field or faculty they graduated from, the Ministry of Interior said.
The selection process includes: testing of psychophysical abilities, detailed security checks, integrity assessment through written tests and interviews, and testing of knowledge and skills through theoretical and practical tests adapted to police work.
