The Municipality of Danilovgrad announced that the Radovan Pavićević Bridge has been closed to traffic since this morning, due to heavy rainfall that continued overnight, as well as rising water levels.
"Taking into account the possibility of rising water levels and the necessity of closing the bridge, the Danilovgrad Protection and Rescue Service has transferred some of its vehicles and equipment to the other bank of the Zeta River in recent days and remains ready to respond to all parts of the municipal territory," the local government announced on Facebook.
Traffic across the Zeta River is currently open only via the bridge in Spuž.
"We reiterate our appeal to citizens to behave responsibly, not to expose themselves to unnecessary danger, and to regularly inform themselves through official municipal communication channels and local media," the announcement reads.
