The Podgorica settlement of Beri is under water after heavy rainfall.
A resident of that settlement provided "Vijesti" with a video and photographs taken from the air, which show the consequences of the rain that has been falling these days.
He also pointed out that heavy rain causes streams and the Sitnica River to overflow.
"Recently, locals have been cleaning the streams themselves, allowing for better water permeability... There are houses that are at risk and water has entered most basements and pantries, as well as a few houses. Now the Sitnica has really overflowed, which wasn't the case before, but that was probably due to the fact that the Mareza canal was filled up by conscientious citizens, so that also contributed to the Sitnica overflowing like this," wrote a Vijesti reader in a message sent to him.
He also pointed out that access to the village is virtually impossible.
"The water on the road ranges from 30 to 60 centimeters, and the road near Drsta has been impossible for a few days because the water has reached up to one meter. The bridge is also threatened by the high water level, as can be seen in the video, because it is hitting the bridge itself," the reader stated, among other things.
