The Podgorica city company "Vodovod i kanalizacija" announced that the latest results of physical and chemical analyses showed a significant increase in water turbidity at the Vučji Studenac spring (consumers from the territory of Koman and Bandić).
They said that the water from that spring is still not drinkable.
"For drinking purposes, it is necessary to use safe alternatives, i.e. water from controlled water supply sources (bottled water, appropriately delivered, safe water from another water supply system, springs, etc.)," the statement reads.
They said that, according to continuous measurements conducted by the company, a trend of gradual reduction in turbidity values is being recorded at the Mareza water source.
"In accordance with the recommendations of the Institute of Public Health of Montenegro, as a precautionary measure, it is recommended to boil drinking water before use, especially for children, pregnant women, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems," the statement reads.
They said that the Water and Sewerage Department continues to regularly monitor water quality and provide timely information to citizens.
