The Mojkovac authorities, claims the President of the Municipal Assembly (MA), Marko Janketić, has worked intensively on improving road infrastructure in the municipality in the past. The goal, he said, is to improve living conditions evenly in all local communities.
During December, according to him, several important projects in the field of road infrastructure were completed, and the contractor was the company "Konstruktor".
"In the Podbišće settlement, we paved the street from the main road to the school and to the bridge near Mrdovići, and new lighting was installed that will contribute to the safety of residents. In Rudarski naselje, we widened and paved the street, and arranged new parking spaces, while in Trgovačka Street we carried out all the necessary work on adapting the street. The village of Pržišta received asphalt for the first time, so we significantly made life easier for the residents of this neglected agricultural area. We implemented all these activities through good and successful cooperation with the members of parliament (Democrats and NSD) of the parliamentary majority, who, through their amendment work to the 2025 budget, provided funds for the implementation of infrastructure projects," says Janketić.
The work, the mayor reminds, was also carried out in suburban areas, so the roads in the Karaula settlement were paved, as well as in the Prošćenske planine, on the road to Barice. The work on that road, says Janketić, has significantly facilitated access to these long-neglected areas and improved their connection with the city. Investments in road infrastructure, he announces, are planned for the coming period.
"In the spring, a one-kilometer road in the village of Jakoviće will be paved, on the Stevanovac-Jakovice road, in agreement with the locals. First, we will intervene on the parts that are in the worst condition to make the road better and safer. Our goal is clear, for Mojkovac to progress evenly and for every citizen to feel the benefits of infrastructural development," claims the president of the Municipal Assembly, Dragana.
