The municipality of Danilovgrad and the portal "Volim Danilovgrad" have launched a platform for reporting damage and assistance after the floods, the local government announced.

They said the website was already active at poplavedanilovgrad.me.

Heavy rainfall in the first week of January, they remind you, caused the Zeta River to overflow and floods that affected dozens of households, catering facilities, and roads.

"The platform allows citizens to quickly and easily report damage suffered due to floods, as well as submit photographs from the field. The goal is to collect as much relevant evidence as possible in order to accurately assess the total damage, plan urgent work to unclog and repair blocked drainage channels, and prevent similar situations from recurring in the future," the statement reads.

According to the latest data, they said, the water level in the Zeta is falling - from a maximum of more than 1.189 to around 1.012 centimeters today, but the consequences are still visible. More than 20 households in settlements such as Pažići, Strahinjići, Spuži, Podanje, Bandići and Klikovači were flooded, around 15 people were evacuated, and numerous roads and bridges (including the main city bridge) were temporarily impassable.

"The situation was most critical in Danilovgrad, where water penetrated homes and business premises, and traffic was suspended in several locations," they added.

The Municipality of Danilovgrad emphasizes that the personal data of citizens (name, phone, email) will be used exclusively for contact regarding the application and will not be published or forwarded to third parties without explicit consent. Photos will also be used only for the purpose of documenting the floods and coordinating assistance.

Citizens are advised to blur faces or license plates in the footage, if any, before sending.

"This is a joint action of citizens and institutions - each report helps to repair the damage faster and to systematically prevent future floods," the Municipality said.

They called on all citizens of Danilovgrad to take advantage of this opportunity and contribute to "a faster response by the competent services, as well as the long-term protection of people, property and the environment."

The Danilovgrad municipality also announced that it will open a special bank account on Monday to collect donations to help vulnerable families, thus "continuing the coordinated recovery action" after the natural disaster.
