For passengers who traveled by train in sleeping cars on the Belgrade-Bar route on the night between January 8th and 9th, the journey was not pleasant, because, they claim, despite the low temperatures, there was no heating on the train.
This was told to "Vijesti" by a passenger, who also provided the editorial staff with photo and video material, showing traces of snow and ice on the windows.
The Railway Transport of Montenegro did not respond to the editorial office's inquiry regarding these allegations yesterday.
The passenger who contacted "Vijesti" stated, among other things, that she used the company's service on the night between January 8th and 9th, and that she arrived from Belgrade by train on the morning of the 9th.
"I bought a ticket for the train and a bed in the sleeping car. We had no heating in the sleeping car the whole night, from the time we got on the train until the end of the journey," she told the editorial office, among other things.
He adds that they were not informed that there would be no heating when they set off on their journey.
"No one informed us when we got on the train that there would be no heating. We were passing through areas where the temperature was close to minus 30 degrees. There were children in the car," she said.
To keep warm, she claims, they were given blankets by employees on that train line:
"We each received a summer quilt and a blanket. Some, who complained, also received a second blanket," she said in an address to the "Vijesti" editorial office.
According to the 2024 Annual Report, the Railway Transport Department transported 185.818 passengers in international traffic during that year. In the same year, trains operating on international routes were delayed by an average of 54,68 minutes.
