The residents of Botun announced today that any unilateral move contrary to the majority will expressed in the referendum of the citizens of Zeta and Botun could lead to the radicalization of the protests.
"The citizens of Botun inform the public that after they respected the initiative of the President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Mr. Andrija Mandić, and held a meeting with the Director of the Police Administration, Mr. Lazar Šćepanović, they expect negotiations to continue in order to de-escalate the security situation," the statement from the residents of Botun states.
They pointed out that, due to all of the above, they expect an invitation for an interview from the President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Andrija Mandić, and the Prime Minister of Montenegro, Milojko Spajić, in order to, as they said, inform them about the activities so far.
"At the same time, we inform the public that any unilateral move contrary to the majority will expressed in the referendum by the citizens of Zeta and Botun could lead to the radicalization of the protests. Due to all of the above, the residents of Botun expect an invitation from those who initiated the negotiations, in order to reach a generally acceptable solution," the statement concludes.
