The severe storm, accompanied by heavy rainfall, which has hit the Ulcinj municipality in recent days, did not spare Štoj either.
The rain stopped falling on Sunday, but the storm is still evident today with flooded yards, garages, houses and large areas of land under water.
The president of the local community (MZ) of Štoj, Albert Kastrati, said that yards and houses were flooded in all places in the settlement where channels for draining atmospheric precipitation were buried or concreted.
"We are paying tribute to the uncontrolled and illegal construction that has lasted for decades. But also to the negligent local and state institutions, which have all this time been indifferent to our problems during heavy rainfall," Kastrati told "Vijesti".
In the storm that culminated on January 4th and 5th, four accommodation units of the nudist resort on Ada were hit by strong southerly winds and large waves.
Although the initial assessments were bleak, after the water receded, the management of the "Ulcinj Riviera" believes that the facilities can still be preserved.
