The Municipality of Bar announced that all olive growers in the territory of Bar, in accordance with the amendments to the Law on Olive Growing and Olive Oil, which entered into force in July 2025, are obliged to report every olive tree in their possession.
"In order to implement and conduct the olive tree census, owners are required to submit an Application for Olive Tree Registration, whereby each olive tree will be assigned a unique identification number that must be visibly and permanently marked on the tree," said the Bar local government.
Applicants are responsible for the accuracy of the submitted data, they stated, and requests are submitted to the Secretariat for Economy of the Municipality of Bar - Department for Agriculture and Rural Development.
