President of Montenegro Jakov Milatović conducted interviews with candidates for judges of the Constitutional Court, his office announced.
Milatović's office reminded that on November 28th, he issued a public call for the election of a judge of the Constitutional Court and that on December 23rd, he established the list of candidates for that public call.
As they stated, the list includes the Chief Administrator of the Municipality of Herceg Novi Nenad Đorđević, Judge of the High Court in Podgorica Nenad Vujanović, Chief Advisor to the Ombudsman in the Field of Protection of the Rights of Children, Youth and Social Welfare, Milica Kovačević, Judge of the High Court in Bijelo Polje Almir Muratović and Head of the Directorate for the Organization of Justice - Directorate for Justice in the Ministry of Justice, Nataša Radonjić.
The list of candidates also includes Supreme Court judge Jelena Ružičić, High Court judges in Podgorica Marija Bošković and Marko Blagojević, High Court judge in Bijelo Polje Ivan Adamović, and President of the Basic Court in Rožaje Mirsad Mujević.
"A special commission, formed by Milatović, determined that all registered candidates meet the requirements for the election of a judge of the Constitutional Court, which are set out in the Constitution and the Law on the Constitutional Court," the statement said.
As stated by the President's Office, based on evidence of meeting the conditions for election and the results of interviews with candidates, Milatović will submit a proposal for the election of a judge of the Constitutional Court to the Parliament of Montenegro.
