The Secretariat for Local Self-Government of the Municipality of Herceg Novi has announced a public call for the award of subsidies for social housing by covering part of the rental costs for this year.

Montenegrin citizens with registered residence in the territory of the municipality of Herceg Novi for at least eight consecutive years can be entitled to the subsidy, if they meet the conditions set out in the Decision on Social Housing.

Foreign citizens and stateless persons whose status has been resolved in accordance with the Law, or an international agreement, in accordance with the Law on Social Housing, who have resided in the territory of the municipality of Herceg Novi for at least eight consecutive years, are also entitled to the subsidy.

"Beneficiaries of this subsidy may be granted co-financing of rental costs in the amount of up to one calculation value of the coefficient determined by the Government in a gross monthly amount of 90 euros. Exceptionally from the previous paragraph, the monthly allowance may be higher if it concerns homeless people over 67 years of age or people with severe psycho-physical disabilities," the public call states.

The deadline for submitting applications for the public call for the allocation of rent is 30 days from the publication of the public call. Applications are submitted from today until 16 February at 14 pm. Late and incomplete applications for the public call will not be considered.
