The University of Montenegro (UCG), as part of the initiative "Scholarships to the best, jobs with the best", awarded 21 scholarships to the best students.
On this occasion, a ceremonial meeting was held today at the Rectorate, at which the Rector, Prof. Dr. Vladimir Božović, signed contracts with the students, formally making the awarding of scholarships official.
"It is with special pleasure that I present scholarships today to the best students of the University of Montenegro, to those who have shown with their work, knowledge and dedication that excellence is not a coincidence, but the result of dedicated work and responsibility. These young people represent the greatest value of the University and society as a whole, and it is our obligation to provide them with the conditions to develop and apply their knowledge and potential right here, in their own country," said Božović, as announced by the UCG.
"I believe that they will continue to set high goals and that they will push the boundaries of personal and academic achievements with their work, while the University of Montenegro will continue to be their reliable partner and support on that path," said the rector.
The President of the Student Parliament of the University of Montenegro, Jakov Vukčević, emphasized that these scholarships are a form of testimony and reward for all the achievements that students have made on their path of development and improvement so far.
"I hope that this personal and professional success will further motivate you to continue to achieve success and build your future at the same pace. I believe that this scholarship will facilitate this process and provide you with the opportunity to achieve your full potential. Through this project, the University of Montenegro clearly shows that it cares about its students, especially those like you - who take matters into their own hands and pave their own paths to success. I believe that among you are those who will lead this society and the country into a better tomorrow. I thank the Rector and the University for the implementation of this project, with the hope that in the future there will be even more projects of this or similar nature, which will be implemented in cooperation with the Student Parliament. And to you, dear colleagues, I wish you all the best in continuing your education, as well as many similar achievements and awards that you can achieve while studying at our university," said Vukčević.
The University of Montenegro recalls that for the academic year 2025/2026, in cooperation with partners, they have provided 103 scholarships, making "this initiative one of the most significant programs for recognizing and supporting talented students in Montenegro."
"The best students are provided with a scholarship of 300 euros per month for ten months, with the possibility of professional development, internships and employment in key sectors important for the development of society and the economy. In this way, the initiative 'Scholarships for the best, jobs with the best' represents a clear call to the most talented students to stay, progress and build their future in Montenegro," the statement reads.
