Senior students of the "Njegoš" Elementary School in Spuž participated in the environmental workshops "Education for a Sustainable Future", through which they learned, among other things, about the principles of the circular economy, proper selection of plastic waste, and the use of waste as raw materials.
"The workshops were an excellent opportunity to promote responsible behavior, especially towards nature, and to encourage them to think about the importance of preserving nature, changes in behavior that lead to the preservation of natural resources and beauty, as well as the application of the principles of the circular economy in everyday life," she said. Lidija Ljuljđuraj andz the “Do Good” Foundation, which, along with Marija Manja Jovović, led workshops.
IX grade student Lara Novakovic The workshops encouraged him to appreciate planet Earth more:
“During the workshop, I learned how long it takes for different materials to decompose, I was introduced to the plastic recycling process, the principles of the circular economy, as well as the process of creating eco-boards and panels. We visited the '3D room', where we saw the entire process of making eco-boards and panels, which are impressive for several reasons. First of all, recycled plastic is used to make them, and I was especially pleased with the fact that more than 12.000 plastic caps were used and about 60-year-old wood was preserved.”
Za Daria Jelenić, a sixth grade student, the workshop left a positive impression, because it was interesting, educational and creative.
"I learned a lot of new things about environmental protection and ways in which we can contribute to the preservation of nature in our everyday lives. The workshop further motivated me to think more responsibly about my impact on the environment and to protect the environment, because it is a part of us," said Darija.
