The Municipality of Bar has begun work on the reconstruction of Borska Street, with parking spaces on both sides, and this project is aimed at improving traffic and utility infrastructure in Bar, the local administration announced.
The contracted value of the works financed from the budget of the Municipality of Bar amounts to more than 1,16 million euros.
"The project includes the complete reconstruction of the road, 304 meters long, and the planned works envisage the arrangement of the roadway with traffic signals, parking spaces on both sides and pedestrian sidewalks with tactile paths, which will significantly improve the safety of citizens of all generations and functionality in this part of the city," the Bar municipality said in a statement.
In addition to traffic infrastructure, as they said, the project also includes the reconstruction of the atmospheric, sewage and water supply networks, as well as telecommunications infrastructure, which creates conditions for the long-term use of this space.
The selected contractor is a consortium consisting of the companies "Gradnja inžinjering MNE" and "Ilija Novaković Ico" Podgorica. Supervision is entrusted to the company "Projectman" from Podgorica, and the deadline for completion of the works is 200 working days from the introduction of the contractor into the job.
"By reconstructing Borska Street, the Municipality of Bar continues its activities to modernize local infrastructure, improve the quality of life of citizens, and create better conditions for the daily functioning of traffic and communal order in the city," they concluded in a statement.
In accordance with the dynamics of the work, the Municipality of Bar will inform the public in a timely manner about potential changes to the traffic regime.
