The capital budget of the Municipality of Tivat this year will total 14.445.840 euros and accounts for 42,36 percent of the total city budget for 2026.
The budget proposal will be presented to councilors at the local parliament session scheduled for Friday.
As stated in the capital budget overview, the local government of Tivat will allocate three million euros this year for the expropriation of private property necessary for the construction of new public facilities and infrastructure. Expenditures for the preparation of project documentation are planned for a total amount of 705 thousand euros, and this item includes, among other things, the preparation of main construction projects for the facilities of the new city market, the Fire Station and the police station, for which 80.000 euros have been allocated.
The Municipality of Tivat will allocate a total of 315 thousand euros for investment maintenance in 2026, of which 100 thousand euros will be allocated for the participation of the local government in the renovation of the facades of residential buildings, and the same amount of money for the rehabilitation of retaining walls and streams.
81.500 euros are planned for the purchase of new equipment for public institutions, of which 20.000 euros are intended for new equipment for the Cultural Center, and the rest for equipment for the Protection and Rescue Service. A total of 40.000 euros are allocated for the purchase of new IT and office equipment for local administration, while a total of 527.000 euros are planned for the purchase of new means of transport. Among other things, this item will finance the purchase of a new small fire engine for which a contract worth 340.000 euros was signed a few months ago with the supplier, the company “Ljetopis Automotive” from Podgorica, and the purchase of an electric minibus for traffic on the line from Tivat Airport to the city center, worth 165.000 euros, is also planned.
An amount of 1,5 million euros is planned for investment in the construction of a new water supply and sewage network in the settlements of Radovići, Mažina and Krašići, while expenditures for local infrastructure will total 6.551.500 euros. Among the 24 individual items on this account, among others, are the construction of several new roads in various parts of the city worth several million euros, the IV phase of works on the construction and development of the Belani waterfront worth 800.000 euros, the first phase of the development of the square in Radovići worth 350.000 euros, the first phase of the reconstruction of the medieval palace of Captain Nikolić in Donja Lastva worth 300.000 euros, as well as the preparation of a feasibility study with a conceptual design for the rehabilitation of the undeveloped Lovanja-Sinjarevo landfill worth 62.500 euros.
The item "other capital expenditures" is planned for a total amount of 1.725.840 euros, and in addition to other investments, it also lists the project of arranging the anchorage in the Tivat Bay and equipping the new small city marina in Seljanovo for 300.000 euros, arranging the atrium of the medieval summer house Buća-Luković for 130.000 euros, installing new local bus stops for 50.000 euros, purchasing a recycling machine for 30.000 euros, and more.
