Sara Antović is the best student at the Faculty of Philosophy in the 2025/26 academic year, with an average grade of 10 in the Pedagogy study program, the University of Montenegro (UCG) announced, and the University's award was presented to her by Rector Vladimir Božović.

According to a statement from the University of Montenegro, Sara Antović was born in Nikšić, where she completed primary and secondary education, and is currently a third-year undergraduate student in the Pedagogy study program at the Faculty of Philosophy. During her education so far, she has stood out as a responsible and persistent student, with a strong desire to acquire quality knowledge and competencies necessary for the future professional role of a pedagogue, the University of Montenegro added.

Pedagogy studies, as Antović points out, were not her first and only choice, but they quickly proved to be the right path.

"From semester to semester, I became more and more aware of the fact that this is the field that best suits my personality and what I consider valuable and important, both for my own life and for the lives of people in the community," she pointed out.

A particularly emotional experience for her was her first day at college, which she remembers as an important milestone.

"That's when I became aware that this new level of education could be exactly the one that would lead to the realization of my future career. Today I can say that I found myself on that path," says the student.

He singles out balancing numerous academic obligations and personal expectations as one of the biggest challenges during his studies.

"The biggest challenge was continuously balancing my college commitments, especially because of the high standards I set for myself. Over time, I shifted my focus from results to a quality learning process, realizing that consistency is not a goal, but a process," Antović said.

He particularly emphasizes the importance of support and joint work of all employees at the Faculty of Philosophy.

"The dedication of professors and assistants, as well as their commitment to the educational process, have been a key motivating factor in my success so far. I consider their example of responsibility and humanity to be the most important lesson," she said.

In addition to academic recognition, the words of her colleagues are especially meaningful to her, who describe her as a person of strong collegiality and empathy.

"The combination of academic success and a developed sense of community is the foundation on which I want to build my professional ethics," the student said.

Finally, he says to students who are just starting their academic journey: "Don't choose a college based on passing trends. Choose a profession that you love and in which you will be able to develop persistently. College is not a final stop, but a new beginning - make the most of it."
