The Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation (MESI), within Chapter 26 - Education and Culture, has implemented all obligations from the Programme for the Accession of Montenegro to the European Union (EU) for last year that fall under the competence of the Ministry.
As announced by that government department, the obligations included the development and adoption of key strategic documents in the field of education, including the Education Reform Strategy (2025-2035) and the Career Guidance and Counseling Strategy (2025-2030).
"As well as the preparation and adoption of legislative solutions through amendments or the adoption of new regulations in the field of higher, general, primary and preschool education and the education of children with special educational needs," the MoE added in a statement.
They stated that due to the visible progress in the areas covered by the chapter in its report, the European Commission assessed the work within the negotiating chapter as good progress.
