The website of the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation announced that the test for the selection of the future director of the Secondary School of Electrical and Economic Sciences will be held on February 9, at the premises of the Center for Vocational Education in Podgorica.
Karličić recently found himself the target of public criticism for a recording in which he sings Chetnik songs.
A search of available data revealed that Karličić's term expires on March 18th, and he has been its director since 2022.
The vacancy for the director of the Secondary Electro-Economic School in Bijelo Polje, for a period of four years, was announced on December 19th and closed on January 5th.
During Velibor Karličić's term, the Education Inspectorate submitted eight proposals for his dismissal due to alleged illegalities in his work, which the Ministry of Education and school boards did not accept.
A video recording of the director of Srednja singing the song "On the Mountain, on Jelica", which glorifies Chetnik ideology, caused strong public reactions.
Reacting to videos that appeared on social networks, in which, as reported, the director of the Secondary Electroeconomic School in Bijelo Polje, Velibor Karličić, performs songs that glorify Chetnik ideology, the President of the Municipality of Bijelo Polje, Petar Smolović, said that as a local government and people who cherish civic, anti-fascist and European values, they express deep concern and disgust at the phenomena of the vampirization of Chetnik ideology, especially when such messages are sent by the management of institutions that have a direct impact on young people and the education system.
The head of the Bosniak Party parliamentary group, Amer Smailović, said that Karličić's behavior represents a serious alarm for society, and especially for the education system.
Karličić previously told the media that he was proud of his Serbian name and surname and that he would not engage in posts and comments on social networks.
"My belief and my life and professional path so far show that I respect all people regardless of religion and nationality," he said.
