Assembly President Andrija Mandić made false statements in his statement on the occasion of Zeta Municipality Day, said historian Vukota Vukotić from the Civic Initiative "21 May".
"Once again, the President of the Parliament of Montenegro, A. Mandić, has 'delighted' us with his historical revisionism. Remaining true to the title of Chetnik duke, in his congratulatory message for the Day of the Municipality of Zeta, he states that Zeta was part of Raška, not far from Ribnica, where Stefan Nemanja was born. Although everyone who has completed at least high school does not need to be reminded, we must point out the obvious untruths that the duke states in his congratulatory message. Namely, Duklja was a medieval state of the Slavs in this area that was occupied by Raška. Also, according to the writings of his sons, Nemanja was born in Ribnica, but no one has yet determined where that city is located, and it is certainly not where Greater Serbian revisionism would like to place it. Finally freeing itself from occupation, the Balšić dynasty created the medieval state of Zeta. Therefore, such cowardly eggs of the Chetnik duke will not pass muster," Vukotić announced.
