The completion of the construction of the new fire station in Nikšić is a priority so that Nikšić firefighters have adequate working conditions and a quick response in crisis situations, it was announced during the visit of Minister without Portfolio Milutin Butorović and Minister of Public Works Majda Adžović to the city.
Butorović's office announced that he and Adžović, along with the local government leadership, toured the initiated projects and officially launched new investments that, as stated, will significantly improve the quality of life of citizens under Trebjes.
Butorović's office said that the visit began with a tour of the Fire Department, where the ministers learned about the service's current capacities and discussed necessary investments in equipment and infrastructure.
"It was emphasized that completing the construction of a new, more modern facility is a priority so that the brave Nikšić firefighters have adequate working conditions and a quick response in crisis situations," the statement said.
It is stated that the central event of the visit was the ceremonial laying of the foundation stone for the Trim trail around Trebjesa.
This project, as Butorović's cabinet said, represents an important step towards the development of sports infrastructure, as it will bring a modern and well-equipped sports and recreational center to the citizens of Nikšić.
They added that its implementation will create quality conditions for sports and recreation for all generations, as well as improve a healthy lifestyle and further strengthen the social and sports life of the city.
"The center will be a place for gathering, socializing and promoting sports values, which will give Nikšić a new space of importance for the entire community," the statement says.
It is stated that the working visit ended with a tour of the House of Revolution, where the work done so far on the reconstruction and adaptation of that massive building was presented.
Butorović emphasized the importance of synergy between state and local governments, adding that balanced regional development is the key to economic stability.
"This act symbolizes our firm commitment to Nikšić once again becoming the engine of Montenegro's development. Each new cornerstone is a promise to citizens that we are creating new values and jobs," it was said during the ceremony.
The visit, as announced, confirmed that Nikšić is today one of the most significant construction sites in the country, with a clear vision of development into a modern, functional and promising city tailored to the needs of its citizens.
