The Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation (MESI) has provided over 1,5 million euros for the payment of scholarships and student loans for January and February, the government department announced.
The Ministry of Education and Research said that 1.205.830 euros have been provided for the payment of student loans for January and February of the 2025/2026 academic year.
As they stated, the student loan installment ranges from 150 euros to 215 euros, depending on the year of study and the results from the previous year of study.
"Student loans are disbursed according to the first letter of the last name, in branches of Addiko Bank (A,B,C,Č,Ć,D,Đ,DŽ,E,F,G,H,I,J,K,L,LJ), NLB Bank (M,N,NJ,O,P) and Erste Bank (R,S,Š,T,U,V,Z,Ž)," the statement says.
The Ministry of Education and Science said that 311.294 euros have been provided for scholarships for talented students and the best students for January and February of the 2025/2026 school year.
They said that the amount of the scholarship installment for talented students is 150 euros, and for the best students it is 300 euros.
"Scholarships for talented students and the best students are paid out at branches of the Montenegrin Commercial Bank," the statement said.
