The decision to award awards and recognitions to participants in protection and rescue was made by the Commission formed by a decision of the Minister of Internal Affairs, based on the Regulation on Types of Awards and Recognitions to Participants in Protection and Rescue.

The commission met on February 10th, and, as stated in the decision, the awards are given for special merit in the development of the protection and rescue system, as well as for demonstrated personal dedication in protecting the population and material assets in emergency and crisis situations.

The Protection and Rescue Badge was awarded Marko Radonjić, a retired member of the Protection and Rescue Service of the Municipality of Nikšić. The explanation states that during his working life he participated in numerous interventions, contributed to the improvement of the work of the service and passed on his experience to younger colleagues.

The same award was also given to To Djordje Vujicic, also a retired member of the Nikšić service, for his many years of work and contribution to the improvement of operational capacities and professional knowledge in the field of protection and rescue.
