The Capital City Health Center began obtaining all necessary permits and implementing the necessary legal procedures and activities last year to begin work on the adaptation of the health facility in Tološi. We have spoken about these activities publicly on several occasions, recognizing the importance of access to health care in the growing settlement of Tološi, which would certainly relieve the burden on the health facility in Block V, the Capital City Health Center announced.
"We just informed the public a week ago that preparatory work for the adaptation of the facility has begun. The Minister of Health has spoken publicly about the initiative for this adaptation several times, emphasizing the importance of accessibility to healthcare services for the citizens of Tološ, a settlement that has seen increasing growth and infrastructural development in the period after the coronavirus pandemic. We will repeat, once again, for the sake of the public and citizens, that funds in the amount of 50.000 euros have been planned in the budget and that certain infrastructure investments are needed in the facility from 1960, which has never been significantly renovated," it was announced.
They explained that work will be carried out on the roof, electrical and plumbing installations, carpentry, plastering, painting and sheet metal work with the aim of equipping a new space for an X-ray machine, which was purchased for 104.000 euros, ultrasound, as well as renovating the clinic for the work of two selected doctors.
"The health center in Tološi provided health services in the field of general/family medicine before and during the Covid-19 pandemic. Now, the staffing and soon the infrastructure conditions have been met for the facility to continue providing services in the field of general/family medicine, enriched with new content, namely X-ray diagnostics. And that will be another X-ray machine in the territory of Podgorica. The facility is also planned to have a 'Montefarma' pharmacy, so that our patients will be able to pick up their prescribed medication immediately after the examination. Montefarm contributed 10.000 euros to the adaptation of the facility in Tološi."
It is planned that Minister of Health Vojislav Šimun, after returning from an official visit to Turkey, will visit the health facility in Tološi with the Mayor of Podgorica, Saša Mujović, and the Director of the Health Center, Dragana Perović Durković.
They invited all interested parties to join them on this occasion and see for themselves that they have come far beyond the initiative itself in order to provide better quality and more accessible healthcare for the citizens of Tološ.
