The Tivat utility company will generate total revenues of 4.961.900 euros this year, which is about 11 percent more than last year.
The Tivat Municipal Assembly approved the Work Program with the Financial Plan of the Municipal Company for 2026, along with approval of the new price list of the municipal company's services, which increases them, on average, by 31 percent.
As stated in these documents, this year the municipal utility will receive a total of 1.630.000 euros from the municipal budget in the form of grants for the maintenance of public and green areas, waste disposal, maintenance of the Great City Park, public lighting, municipal roads, public toilets, and maintenance of torrential streams and canals, which is 15 percent more than last year.
By providing various services to citizens and businesses (garbage collection and removal, market maintenance, cemetery maintenance and funeral services, cleaning and maintenance of the Coastal Zone on unleased parts of the coast), the Municipal Service will generate its own revenues in the amount of 3.331.900 euros this year. Of this, the largest amount, 2.467.200 euros, will be revenue from the collection and removal of waste from citizens and businesses, which is about 11 percent more than last year.
Total municipal expenditures in 2026 are projected to amount to 4.947.060 euros, which is about 11 percent more than last year.
The most money, 2,87 million euros, will be spent on salaries and compensation for more than 190 workers, material costs will amount to 1,84 million, and depreciation costs for equipment and technical assets will amount to 240.000 euros.
From the management of the Municipal Corporation, headed by the executive director Vučeta Stanišić, as particularly important for the company's operations in 2026 and the improvement of the level of provision of utility services in Tivat, they cite the fact that Komunalno, referring to Article 14 of the Law on Communal Services, signed an Agreement with its founder and owner, the Municipality of Tivat, on the procurement of new equipment and technical means, with a total value of 1.238.000 euros, which will be allocated from the city budget for these purposes this year.
From this money, Komunalno plans to purchase two new trucks for waste collection and transportation with a so-called rotopress superstructure, with a total value of 720.000 euros, a crawler excavator for loading waste worth 220.000 euros, and 12 new semi-underground containers for mixed municipal waste with an individual capacity of five cubic meters, for which 120.000 euros will be allocated. 100 new containers with a capacity of 1,1 cubic meters will also be purchased, which will cost 60.000 euros, while 118.000 euros will be intended for the complete payment of the new state-of-the-art crusher for oversized waste purchased last year, which has already been installed and put into operation on the site of the former "Montepraz".
