Some students from Boljanići who attend classes at the "Jakub Kubur" Elementary School have been having difficulty getting to school for almost a month due to a breakdown in the official vehicle for transporting students, while the administration claims that the teaching process is organized at all times and that the safety of children is an absolute priority.

Some parents claim that their children, who live in remote villages, cannot attend classes regularly because the school vehicle is out of order.

According to the parents, the biggest problem is the fact that the children will have to make up for a large number of missed classes, although, as they point out, they are not responsible for the situation.

"The children are already behind. We fear they will be subjected to bullying if they have to make up for lost classes," the parents said.

The school, however, states that they did everything within their jurisdiction to fix the vehicle malfunction.

"There was a breakdown in the official car used for transporting students. As an institution, we have done everything within our jurisdiction to resolve the problem as soon as possible. The vehicle was first sent to the Pljevlja Coal Mine, where work was carried out within their capabilities and jurisdiction. After that, the car was sent to Prijepolje for additional checks and necessary work, in order to fully ensure its technical integrity," said the school principal. Dubravka Perunicic.

She emphasized that, as a school principal, it is most important to her that the vehicle is completely safe and technically sound, because it transports children.

"Student safety has no alternative and is our absolute priority," Peruničić emphasized.

The principal claims that the school has been functioning smoothly at all times and that the teaching process has been taking place regularly since the first day of the second semester.

"Students regularly attend classes in accordance with the established schedule. For students who did not come to school due to the lack of school transportation, online classes have been organized from the very beginning, in order to enable them to follow the teaching process without any obstacles and regularly fulfill their school obligations. Other students are brought by their parents themselves or transported by school van to Pljevlja to their relatives, in accordance with the organization currently in force," she said.

According to her, two students are currently taking online classes, while all the others are attending school regularly.

The school administration, as stated by principal Dubravka Peruničić, remains committed to resolving the situation as soon as possible, with full responsibility and care for the safety of the children.
