VOLI has committed $400.000 to the children of Montenegro through a two-year partnership with UNICEF, becoming the first company in Montenegro to directly support the UNICEF-Government Cooperation Program through flexible funding.

As announced by UNICEF, this agreement sets a new standard for the involvement of the private sector in improving the well-being of children in Montenegro.

The partnership will directly benefit 2.400 children and 1.600 parents and guardians across the country.

Flexible funding means UNICEF can focus resources where they are needed most, respond quickly to new challenges, and scale up programs that are delivering results. At the same time, national systems that support children and families are strengthened, so that aid reaches those who need it most – without delay.

"This partnership is an important step forward for children in Montenegro," said UNICEF Montenegro Representative, Michele Servadei.

"By supporting the UNICEF-Government Partnership Program through flexible funding, VOLI enables us to respond faster, scale up what works, and ensure that no child is left behind. Investing in children today is the most reliable way to strengthen Montenegro's future."

As announced, in 2026, the partnership between VOLI and UNICEF will:

  • expand the "Caring Families" parenting program throughout Montenegro;
  • launch a new parenting program for adolescents, focusing on digital safety, peer violence and mental health;
  • strengthen the socio-emotional skills program for children and youth in 15 schools across the country.

"These investments come at a time when there is increasing talk about adolescent mental health, child safety online, and the need for schools to further strengthen students' resilience and socio-emotional skills. That is why continued support for parents, schools, and communities is of particular importance," it was announced.

"Supporting children is not just a social responsibility - it is an investment in the long-term stability and prosperity of Montenegro," said Dragan Bokan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of VOLI.

"Strong families and confident young people are the foundation of a strong society and economy."

The event was opened by UNICEF young reporters Lara Novaković and Ognjen Zečević.

"As young people, we see every day how important it is for parents to understand the challenges we face, especially in the digital environment," said Novaković. "Programs that support parents and schools help create a safer and more supportive environment for us."

"When companies invest in the well-being of children, they invest in our generation," Zečević added.

"This means better education, stronger mental health and more opportunities for young people in Montenegro."

The statement states that this partnership demonstrates how private sector investments can accelerate the achievement of national priorities within the framework of the UNICEF-Government Cooperation Program, and further strengthen systems that support children and families.
