Wind wreaks havoc in Tivat settlement: Trees down, roofs and vehicles destroyed

A stormy, strong southerly wind early this morning felled several trees in the Mrčevac settlement in Tivat, damaged the roofs of several family houses, and caused damage to three cars.

Members of the Protection and Rescue Service of the Municipality of Tivat, the Municipal Company and the Municipal Police were engaged in repairing the consequences of the storm and clearing the terrain.

It is assumed that the cause of this damage was the occurrence of a "leech" - a swirling flow of storm wind resembling a kind of mini-tornado.
