Several streets in Podgorica closed to traffic from 11 a.m. on Saturday due to the procession

Several streets in Podgorica will be closed to traffic on Saturday, February 21, from 11 am due to a religious gathering on the occasion of the feast of Saint Simeon the Myrrh-Bearing-Stefan Nemanja, organized by the Metropolitanate of Montenegro and the Littoral.

As announced by the Police Department, until the end of the public gathering, George Washington Boulevard will be closed to traffic from the Temple of the Resurrection of Christ to the intersection with Svetog Petra Cetinjski Boulevard, then Svetog Petra Cetinjski Boulevard to the intersection with Kralja Nikola Street, and then Kralja Nikola Street and the Zlatičanin Brothers Bridge.

They state that citizens will then continue their movement through Stara Varoš to the fortress at Ribnica, where the procession will end.

"In accordance with Article 93 of the Law on Internal Affairs, Police Directorate officers will record this public gathering from 10:00 a.m. until the end of the public gathering, or the dispersal of the gathered citizens," it was announced.
