AMU: Nina Žižić supports the "We're on the Same Side" campaign

"As an artist who makes music, communicates with the audience on a daily basis, and is actively present in public space, Nina understands well how messages, interpretations, and narratives can change and shape. That's why she invites us to learn to distinguish an authentic voice from a construction, as well as information from sensation. In an age of fast information and even faster conclusions, choosing responsibility means choosing knowledge," said AMU.

Two-time representative of Montenegro at Eurovision, Nina Žižić, has supported the "We are on the same side" campaign, the Agency for Audiovisual Media Services (AMU) announced today.

"The Agency for Audiovisual Media Services' (AMU) campaign 'We are on the same side', dedicated to improving media and digital literacy, brings together public figures through a series of video messages who, with their authority and experience, contribute to raising awareness about the importance of responsible information and critical reflection on media content. As part of the campaign, Montenegrin vocal artist Nina Žižić also sent her messages, pointing out the importance of understanding the way information is created and disseminated in the modern media environment," the AMU statement states.

The institution added that Žižić had the honor of standing on the big Eurovision stage twice and representing Montenegro, but that her greatest success is not just her performances and concerts, but her consistency and dedication to true values.

"That's why we are particularly pleased that Nina Žižić has become part of our 'We are on the same side' campaign, sending clear and important messages about the power of words and their real significance. As an artist who makes music, communicates with the audience on a daily basis, and is actively present in public space, Nina understands well how messages, interpretations, and narratives can change and shape. That's why she invites us to learn to distinguish an authentic voice from a construction, as well as information from sensation. In an age of fast information and even faster conclusions, choosing responsibility means choosing knowledge," said AMU.

The "We are on the same side" campaign is being implemented through a series of video clips featuring public figures from the fields of social, sports, journalism and cultural life. All campaign video clips have been published on the official channels of AMU, the "Media Literacy Montenegro" channel, as well as on the website www.medijskapismenost.me, dedicated to the development of media literacy in Montenegro.
