The Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation (MESI) announced today that the delivery of new furniture for furnishing rooms in the "Plavi Dvor" student dormitory, as well as in the Student Dormitory in Podgorica, has begun.

According to the government department, the value of the furniture is around 250.000 euros, and the funds were provided by the Ministry of Education and Science in Podgorica and the Public Institution Students' Home Podgorica.

"On that occasion, the dormitory facilities were visited by Prof. Dr. Anđela Jakšić-Stojanović, Minister of Education, Science and Innovation, Prof. Dr. Milivoje Radović, President of the Governing Board of the University of Montenegro, Zoran Medenica, Director of the Public Institution Students' and Students' Dormitory Podgorica, MA Dragana Ćetković, Director of the Directorate for Higher Education and Student Standard, MA Marica Melović, Director of the Directorate for Scientific and Research Activities, and Jakov Vukčević, President of the Student Parliament of the University of Montenegro," the MoESI statement states.

Minister Jakšić-Stojanović emphasized that this investment completes the investment cycle that began in 2024, within which over 200 thousand euros were invested in "Plavi dvor" in cooperation with the MK Group.

"This investment confirms the commitment of the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation to continuously improve student standards and provide the highest quality living conditions for students," she said.

Radović said that the University of Montenegro strongly supports every initiative that contributes to improving student standards.
