The President of the Municipality of Pljevlja, Dario Vraneš, appointed Miomir Šljukić, a graduate civil engineer, as the acting director of the Directorate for Development and Investments of the Municipality of Pljevlja.
The change at the head of this municipal directorate occurred after the decision of the Administrative Court of Montenegro ordering the dismissal of the previous director, Božidarka Kuburović, a graduate engineer in industrial management, pending the completion of the final procedure related to the election of the director of this institution.
Kuburović previously served as acting director on two occasions, and was then elected director at the suggestion of the Europe Now Movement. Following that election, one of the employed engineers filed a lawsuit with the Administrative Court of Montenegro, challenging the procedure.
Šljukić is a long-time employee of the Municipality of Pljevlja, where he has worked as a civil engineer for more than two decades. During his career in local government, he has also served as Secretary for Urban Planning and Spatial Development on several occasions.
He is a member of the Chamber of Engineers of Montenegro and a licensed court expert. He participated in the supervision of the implementation of several significant infrastructure projects in Pljevlja, including the construction of the "Ada" Sports Center and the reconstruction of the Dajevića Han - Metaljka road.
Before joining the Municipality of Pljevlja, he worked at the construction company "Građevinar Pljevlja".
