Vice President of the Municipality of Nikšić Vidak Krtolica signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on behalf of the Municipality, on the implementation of the campaign "Our city, our od(b)raz".
As announced by the Municipality, the memorandum of cooperation aims to regulate and improve the quality of the environment in the local community, promote natural values, and responsible waste management.
Signing the memorandum, Krtolica reportedly emphasized that this campaign has been successfully operating for three years and is an example of how together we can achieve great results when it comes to environmental protection.
"The Municipality of Nikšić will always support such projects. I also invite all citizens to join this campaign because only by working together can we build a responsible relationship towards the space in which we live and leave a healthier and more beautiful community for future generations. The Municipality will continue to be a reliable partner in all initiatives that contribute to sustainable development and raising environmental awareness," he said.
The director of the non-governmental organization "Ozon", Aleksandar Perović, said that the campaign, "in which all relevant institutions are involved", was launched by them three years ago.
"The goal of our campaign is to point out the natural beauty of our city and the need for constant maintenance of certain sites that have tourist and natural significance," said Perović.
The Municipality of Nikšić added that the Memorandum was signed, in the premises of the Electric Power Industry of Montenegro (EPCG), in addition to Krtolica and Perović, by the Executive Director of EPCG Zdravko Dragaš, the Executive Director of the Nikšić Municipal Corporation Nemanja Vuković, the Executive Director of the Nikšić Tourist Organization Mitar Barać, the Executive Director of RTVNK Nikola Marković and Nemanja Popović on behalf of the Nikšić European Capital of Culture 2030 Office.
