Minister of Education, Science and Innovation, Anđela Jakšić-Stojanović, met with a delegation of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, as part of a visit organized in accordance with the goals and mandate of this institution, with a special focus on improving comprehensive and cooperative security, especially in the areas of countering terrorism and preventing radicalization into violent extremism.
This was announced today by the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation (MESI).
"The delegation was led by Mr. Kamil Aydin, and during the meeting, key topics related to preventive measures in combating radicalization were discussed, with a special emphasis on youth, as well as challenges and perspectives in the field of cybersecurity," the MoE said in a statement.
The government department said that the visit will also include the "OSCE PA School Dialogue", dedicated to issues of online safety, the connection between peer violence, manipulation and radicalization, as well as improving media literacy and understanding risky behaviors in the digital environment.
"This is the second OSCE Parliamentary Assembly dialogue in a row, which is part of a new program focused on youth education. The program is being implemented at the Cetinje Gymnasium, as a platform for open dialogue and strengthening youth awareness of contemporary security challenges," said the Ministry of National Security and Defense, adding that this initiative confirms the importance of continued cooperation in the field of education and security.
