Tivat: New infrastructure in Marići

Works on the construction of the secondary sewage and water supply network in the Tivat settlement of Marići were completed last week.

"The total value of the investment was 216.000 euros, and the works were carried out by the consortium "Zevs gradnja", "Aqua Engineering" and "Geotin Mne"," the Municipality of Tivat announced.

They stated that work on connecting the Pod Kuk and Mažina water reservoirs, worth 35.000 euros, has also been completed, "which is a long-term solution to the problem of water pressure and supply in these Tivat settlements located at higher elevations."

The works were carried out by "Vigoris Ecotech" and represent a continuation of the investment from 2025, when around 550.000 euros were spent on connecting the two reservoirs.

Work is underway to replace existing water pipes in several streets in Krašići.

"The Spatial Planning Program of the Municipality of Tivat for 2026 plans investments in the reconstruction and expansion of the water supply and sewage system, and just some of the planned projects are the construction of a secondary water supply and sewage network in Radovići, works to replace the existing water supply network at several locations in Tivat, and the continuation of activities on the project "Water Supply and Wastewater Disposal on the Adriatic Coast - Phase V, Component 2" - the local government announced.

In connection with the V-2 project, the Municipality of Tivat is intensively dealing with property and other issues on the route of the future water supply and sewage network in Gradiošnica and Donja Lastva.

9,5 million euros in grants from the Joint European Fund for the Western Balkans have been provided for this project.

A contract worth 26 million euros is expected to be signed with the company "Jedinstvo" from Užice as the contractor. New environmental impact studies are also being prepared. The Investment Directorate notes that the documentation for the reconstruction of the main collector through Donja Lastva and Seljanovo is ready, and the start of work is expected after the tourist season.
