The University of Montenegro and the State University of Novi Pazar have signed a General Agreement on Inter-University Cooperation, which represents a framework for a stronger connection between the two higher education institutions, the UCG announced.

The document was signed at the Rectorate of the University of Montenegro in Podgorica by the Rector of the University of Montenegro Vladimir Božović and the Rector of DUNP Tanja Soldatović.

Božović pointed out the importance of connecting universities that "share similar values and goals" in education and science, "but also face similar challenges," the statement said.

"I am glad that today we are formalizing what already exists in practice, which is a beautiful cooperation. This is a 'living' document, something that, I am sure, will be fulfilled in the coming period with meetings and joint work on specific projects," said Božović.

"This agreement will fundamentally strengthen the cooperation between these two institutions, and raise the achievement of common goals to a higher level through the accreditation of joint study programs and dual degrees that will aim to simplify the integration of graduates into the economy," emphasized Rector Soldatovič.

The agreement envisages a broad framework of cooperation that primarily includes the exchange of students and professors, as well as joint participation in scientific research projects, explained the University of Montenegro.

In addition to mobility, the document also defines cooperation in the field of organizing scientific conferences and seminars, exchange of academic literature, as well as work on professional development programs for teaching and administrative staff of both universities.
