Fake website, available at evisas-gov.me, is not an official website of the state authorities of Montenegro, nor is it affiliated with any government institution, the Ministry of Public Administration announced.

"It has been determined that the page in question uses visual identity elements and a name that may mislead citizens, creating the impression that it is an official portal for issuing visas or providing consular services," the statement reads.

The Ministry warns citizens not to enter personal information, information from personal documents, or payment card information through this page, as there is a risk of misuse.

"The competent authorities have been informed of this case and are taking measures to identify and shut down the disputed activities," they added.

They urged citizens to check all information about the visa regime and consular services exclusively through official channels of communication of state institutions.

In case of suspicion of internet fraud, citizens can file a report with the competent authorities.
