Forest fire in Lješanska nahija, fire does not threaten houses

In the Lješanska nahija on the territory of Podgorica, in the villages of Bigor, Brežine and Staniseljići, a large-scale forest fire has been active since this morning.

The Commander of the Capital City Protection and Rescue Service, Nikola Bojanović, told Television Vijesti that the fire was localized during the day with the help of aircraft, but that it flared up again in the evening, and that it did not threaten houses and other buildings.

He points out that teams are visiting the area and are in constant communication with locals, ready to react if necessary.

Bojanović also said that tomorrow he will again consider the need to extinguish this fire from the air, due to the inaccessible terrain.
