13 projects supported with 15.000 euros: Municipality of Tivat announces results of competition for support to publishing

The Municipality of Tivat will co-finance thirteen projects in the field of publishing (books and monographic publications) that met the requirements of the Public Competition announced on February 2nd, in the total amount of 15.000 euros.

By decision of the Secretariat for Social Activities, and at the proposal of the Commission for the Distribution of Funds for Publishing Activities, the following projects received financial support: Monograph "Fragile" by Ivica Aranđus - 2.500 euros; "Comedy in the Luštički Style" by Biljana Mrkovčević - 2.000 euros; "With the Sea in the Veins", by Amare Mara (SO bookstore) - 1.500 euros; Painting monograph "Vasilije Stanjević", group of authors, Krtoli Local Community - 1.500 euros; "Krtoljska kužina" by Zoran Mujbegović and Vera Radosavljević, Krtoli Local Community - 1.500 euros; "Far from Death" by Joško Bošković - 1.500 euros; "Nasukana barka" by Ilko Marović - 900 euros; "Ugarak među zvijezdama" by Jasna Moric Zarić - 770 euros; "Igra Svemira" by Jelena Božović - 700 euros; "His Holiness Martyr Mihailo Barbić - Life and Connections", IIU "Svetigora" - 680 euros; "Another Dimension of the Self" by Milica Papović - 500 euros; "Stories of a Spirit", Ouroborus doo - 500 euros; "Tivat Scrolls" by Goran Sekulović - 450 euros.

Priority for co-financing under this competition was given to authors from Tivat, or authors whose publication is of importance to Tivat and the Bay of Kotor. According to the competition's provisions, the municipality can co-finance the project up to 50 percent of the total funds needed for its implementation.

As announced by the Municipality of Tivat, the following projects were not included in the scoring process: "Tivat Schools" by Lazar Božović, "Maša Montenegrina" by Ivana Vujošević, "Secrets of the Bay" by Milena Corić, "Let Our Wheel Not Stop" by Predrag Šušić, and "Meetings - Portraits and Conversations" by Lidija Kojašević.

"Given that a large number of projects were submitted this year, the Commission decided to give a chance primarily to those candidates who are applying to the Competition for the first time," the local government stated.
