The fire in the "Stara kuća" restaurant in Grahovo, near which there were gas cylinders and oil barrels, was extinguished in half an hour, and no one was injured in the incident, although significant material damage was caused.
This was told to "Vijesti" by the commander of the Nikšić Protection and Rescue Service, Slavko Tadić, stating that the report of the fire arrived today at 12:31 via the TETRA system from his colleague Ćećanović from Cetinje.
He said that fire and rescue units from Cetinje, Kotor, Perast and Nikšić were sent to the scene.
Upon arrival at the scene, it was determined that the warehouse space beneath the restaurant itself was affected.
"The fire was localized in half an hour and extinguished very quickly. No one was injured, but significant material damage was caused," said Tadić.
He pointed out that the aggravating circumstances were the remoteness of the facility, as well as the presence of a large number of gas cylinders and oil drums in the affected area.
"The professional approach to the facility, as well as the entire operation, prevented potential casualties and injuries," said Tadić.
He expressed special gratitude to the volunteer firefighters from Grahovac and Milovići, who were the first to arrive on the scene and, as he said, made an immeasurable contribution to extinguishing the fire.
