Retaining wall removed on Sveti Nikola Island: Net Montenegro complied with the recommendation of the Coastal District

The sublessee of the beach on the island of Sveti Nikola, the company "Net Montenegro", removed the concrete retaining walls, whose purpose was to rehabilitate the dilapidated terrain, and complied with the recommendation of the Public Company for the Management of the Coastal Zone.

As "Vijesti" was told by this company, they are sub-lessees of the swimming pool and have carried out all the work according to previous instructions.

Since the intention was to adapt the existing catering facility as an additional offer for guests of the five-star Starlit Hotel in Budva, managed by Net Montenegro, it was, as they said, necessary to build a retaining wall about 10 meters long.

"There was confusion, because it was not our intention to do anything without permission and against the law, we immediately removed it with a strong warning. If this action offended anyone or damaged anyone in any way, that was not our intention, because for ten years we have been successfully operating in Montenegro and employing 650 workers, paying our obligations to the state regularly, we are sincerely sorry. The swimming area that we have leased will be brought to its intended purpose in accordance with the urban planning and technical conditions issued by the JP Morsko dobro and will be a good offer from the city of Budva," the company said.
