On Saturday evening, the fifth edition of the Wind Festival, a month-long sports-cultural-educational-entertainment event organized by the Sailing Club "Delfin" and with the support of the Municipality and Tourist Organization of Tivat, and the Faculty of Maritime Studies and the Institute of Marine Biology from Kotor, was officially opened on the city waterfront of Pine in Tivat.
The festival lasts from April 24th to May 24th and this year brings a total of 16 programs throughout Boka Kotorska, with the participation of as many as 97 partners and sponsors.

The opening ceremony was held with a concert by "Bajage and the Instructors", which symbolically marked the beginning of the main summer tourist season.
The President of the Municipality of Tivat, Željko Komnenović, emphasized the importance of the festival as a symbol of togetherness and identity of coastal life.
"The Wind Festival represents a story that reminds us that the sea is not just a space we live by, but an essential part of our identity. This event marks the beginning of the summer season and brings a month of rich programming filled with sports and cultural content," Komnenović pointed out.
He also emphasized the expansion of the festival to other cities in Boka Bay, with expectations that the event will continue to grow in the coming years.
On behalf of the Faculty of Maritime Studies in Kotor, the attendees were addressed by Vice-Dean for Development and Communications Zorica Đurović, who emphasized that good energy and togetherness are behind the festival.
"This festival is the result of enormous work, love and dedication. We are especially pleased that this year the program is expanding to Kotor, with the strong support of institutions and the local community," said Đurović.

She also announced a two-day conference "Boka Kotorska as a Sustainable Nautical Destination", which will be held on May 7 in Tivat and May 8 in Kotor, as well as accompanying exhibitions dedicated to maritime tradition and contemporary art.
The editor of the Wind Festival program, Antonela Stjepčević, pointed out that the festival is growing every year and gathering an increasing number of participants.
"We are building a community dedicated to the sea, its culture and identity. Through sailing, education and cultural programs, we strive to pass on these values to younger generations and preserve them for the future," said Stjepčević.
This year's program includes five festival weekends during May, with a variety of events in the fields of sports, culture and education, which will be held in Tivat, Kotor and finally in Herceg Novi.

The frontman of the band "Bajaga i Instruktori", Momčilo Bajagić Bajaga, expressed his satisfaction with his performance at the festival, especially since he is performing in Tivat after seven years.
"I'm glad to be back in Tivat and to see the good energy in the organization of the festival. It's always a challenge to choose a repertoire, but we have prepared a different program than before," Bahaga pointed out.
The Wind Festival once again confirms its importance as a unique platform that connects sports, culture and education, promoting the sea as a key element of identity and life in Montenegro.
