Member of the Regatta Board of Directors Ivan Lučić pointed out that the Tivat Regatta confirms its importance and increasingly international character year after year.

"This is the 21st edition of the Tivat Regatta and we can truly be satisfied. We had 38 registered boats and over 150 crew members, with phenomenal sailing conditions and a great atmosphere. The regatta is specific because it represents the beginning of the season and symbolically opens nautical and tourist events. We are especially pleased that, in addition to the locals, crews from Russia, Ukraine and Croatia also participated, which speaks of its growing popularity. Although it has a show character, the competitive spirit is very much present, and today's sailing and the satisfaction of the participants best confirm this," said Lučić.

The winner in the overall standings was the boat "Fox", helmed by Luka Ognjanović, who pointed out after the race that he is a regular participant in the regatta.

"This is my fourth time at the Tivat Regatta in a row and I've been among the leaders every time, but this year we managed to finish first. The conditions were exceptionally good for our boat, and the competition was strong and experienced. The route was demanding, but also exceptionally beautiful - sailing through the Bay of Kotor, around the islands and through the Verige and Ralo straits is a special experience. It took us an hour and 45 minutes to finish the race. We've been sailing this boat for the fourth season and we've gotten used to it well. Stronger winds, like the ones we had today, suit us best, and I believe we have room for even better results."

Second place in the overall standings was won by the team of Vladimir Švab, who emphasized the special connection with Tivat and the importance of the regatta itself.

"I've been coming to Tivat since I was a child and I always feel at home here. I've been coming with my team for three years in a row, because we also have a sailing school here. The organization is top-notch, and the hospitality we experience here is rare. This year we won our class and took second place in the overall standings. The regatta field is demanding, especially passing through Verige where there is a lot of traffic and maneuvering, but that's exactly what makes the race dynamic and interesting. Despite the challenges, everything went smoothly and we will definitely be back next year."
