The humanitarian organization "Caritas" of the Diocese of Kotor will organize a large ecological campaign called "Diving for Boka 2026", which will take place on May 1st and 2nd.
The action will, as stated by the director of "Caritas" and passionate diver, priest of the Kotor Diocese, Don Željko Pasković, to bring together around 80 certified divers and volunteers from Montenegro and the region.
According to the planned plan, on May 1st, diving and cleaning of the seabed in the Perast area will take place. On that day, the action will be carried out at three key locations: the waters around the island of Gospa od Škrpjela, the seabed and the shore near the bar near the Perast City Museum (Risan side) and the Borići site (Kotor side). The following day, the seabed cleaning will continue on the Luštica peninsula, focusing on the beaches and seabed in front of the hotel “The Chedi” in the Luštica Bay complex.
"We sincerely appeal to the residents of Perast to support the action by lending their boats for use during the first day of the action. We need the boats for the transport and safe disposal of collected waste from the sea. We also invite all locals to join us in cleaning the coast - every hand is welcome," said Pasković.
